Bad Ass Sheriff Joe Will Continue Immigration Crackdown Despite Federal Withdraw Of Power

A firebrand Arizona sheriff known for his hard-line immigration enforcement is vowing to press ahead with an illegal immigrant sweep Friday, defying a revised Department of Homeland Security policy that takes away his federal authority to make such arrests.
“I’m not gonna stop,” Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio said in an interview with FOXNews.com. He said the federal changes amount to a political hit job and that if Immigration and Customs Enforcement won’t take illegal immigrants off his hands he’ll personally drive them to the U.S.-Mexico border.
“Nothing will change,” he said. “I’m not going to be deterred by any bully.”
A spokesman with DHS or ICE could not be reached for comment. It’s unclear whether the agencies will try to stop or punish the county sheriff should he go forward with the sweep on Friday.
The federal government stripped Arpaio of part of his federal authority to enforce immigration law by changing its rules under a program allowing local police to enforce those laws. Under the changes, Arpaio’s jail officers would still be able to check inmates’ immigration status but would not be able to make federal immigration arrests on the streets.
More than 1,000 local law enforcement officials nationally have had those special powers, but Arpaio has signed more officers onto the program than any other agency. He has 100 deputies under the program, and his office reports having investigated and arrested 33,000 illegal immigrants — or 25 percent of total arrests under the program.
Arpaio claims he still has authority to make the arrests under state human smuggling laws and other provisions, regardless of whether he’s charging the suspected illegal immigrants of any other crimes. He said that if ICE won’t take his suspects, he’ll drive them down to U.S. border patrol agents. If they don’t take them, he said, “I assume they won’t accept any illegals.”
The idiosyncratic sheriff is one of the most controversial local officials in the country. He’s cultivated a tough guy, almost outlaw, image — occasionally referring to himself as the third-person, “The Sheriff,” and unabashedly calling his band of volunteers and officials “the posse.”
“I am the poster boy. Everybody knows that,” he said.
But Arpaio is notorious among immigrant rights groups for his treatment of suspected illegal aliens once in custody. He is known for clothing inmates in pink underwear, making them work on chain gangs and subjecting them to other harsh conditions.
The Justice Department has been investigating his office over claims of discrimination and unlawful practices.
Frank Sharry, director of advocacy group America’s Voice, said in a written statement last week that DHS should “pull the plug on bullies like Arpaio.”
“It is making a historic mistake by lending the full force and legitimacy of the federal government to a rogue cop certain to go down in history as a serial violator of civil rights and an enemy of the Latino community,” he said.
Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, previously the Arizona governor, said in a written statement that the latest changes are meant to “improve accountability and safety” in the detention facilities as part of the move to employ “smart and effective” immigration enforcement.
Arpaio remains defiant. He said he’s glad to be able to conduct immigration sweeps without having to follow federal guidelines.
“They can’t stop this sheriff. I don’t report to the feds. I report to the people,” he said. “They should give me a medal — shouldn’t be the Nobel Peace Prize, but it should be something.”

The federal government has the prospect in proving to the American workers and legal population that they are wrong in thinking that politicians are catering to the open border parasites? Two laws could be imposed, that would assign employment to elderly citizens and others, as a vanguard in inspecting I-9's auditing forms for use with the E-Verify, computer verification software. Thousands of jobs could be created as an interior illegal immigration force, giving ICE more backing in investigating businesses hiring foreign labor? In all regions of the country these interior inspectors would listen to Whistle blowers and then investigate companies, such as with the apparel company in Los Angeles who had to jettison 1800 foreign nationals. To me it's very questionable that a company the size of that clothing company could be completely ignorant of its workers, specifically in a SANCTUARY CITY AND STATE like CALIFORNIA?
Another idea is in the commencing voting season next year? Instead of just taking the incumbents and clean faced lawmakers by their word? That when they swear an oath that they will protect and defend the American people, we should hold them to it? We should ensure their honesty by having them sign an agreement executed under perjury, that he/she will defend us from foreign and domestic enemies? Let's face it if you study the immigration enforcement grading at NUMBERSUSA, a highly regarded pro-sovereignty website, you will observe Sen. Harry Reid has a C- ? He and Nancy Pelosi, Janet Napolitano, Sen.Chuck Schumer (F- ) Diane Feinstein ( F ) and countless others have used their political influence to under fund, create obstacles and otherwise use Senate-House laws to collapse any worthwhile enforcement laws such as police apprehension 287 G and the No-Match letter? Ask yourself? What do these politicians have to gain from keeping our border fence wide open? Even the church is approving the BLANKET AMNESTY, when the 1986 was just a facade of fraud. Perhaps the churches would like to open their coffers, homes and bring in illegal alien families to squat there, instead of dumping it in the lap of the taxpayers yet again? My Baptist church has very few passionate people, when it means feeding their own families?

The rumors that Pelosi has vineyards in Central California have an abundant illegal alien labor? If you really want to know the--TRUTH--about the next path to citizenship for the 20 to 30 million foreign nationals, just surf the net.
Arizona County Sheriff Joe Ariapo was sure to be marked by Napolitano, because his deputies were having a incredulous success rate, in apprehending illegal aliens in his jurisdiction. But repressed enforcement is not going to halt Ariapo from apprehending illegal immigrants, just as city Mayors ignore federal rules prohibiting Sanctuary City policies? Joe is a hard boiled, old time police officer who carries out his duties according to the --PEOPLES--law. Not laws engineered by corrupt elected officials? He cannot be bribed or intimidated by corporate money as most of the influential rulers in Washington are? He has a massive following of angry taxpayers who sick and tired of supporting illegal immigrant family welfare, proffered to them by the Democratic hierarchy. After years of intentional neglect by numerous administrations who have generated this invasion mess, honest cops like Joe have an overwhelming duty of apprehending foreign nations for transportation to ICE.
The Sheriff doesn't pander for campaign contributions from the business communities? So because he doesn't pathetically comply with their demands, as they do, they want him out of office. He is an ongoing danger and worst nightmare to the corporate agenda for illegal discount workers. Now he has a free hand to arrest and not no longer restrained by federal law, but can use the powers of state laws detain illegal aliens and the criminal elements amongst them. We need more Joe's tent cities and Joe's cuisine of bologna sandwiches, because being subjected to this type of incarceration will deter the most ardent inmate. Nationwide we need more hard officers of the law, who will not genuflect to the open border lunatics, Not the soft hands of manipulated cops who don't make waves looking towards an easy road to retirement.

Today, Sen. David Vitter (R-LA) will be offering an amendment to the Commerce, Justice, and Science appropriations bill that would require the U.S. Census Bureau to add questions regarding immigration & citizenship status to the 2010 decennial census. If these questions are not asked it is certain that illegal aliens will be counted in the census and states will lose/gain Congressional seats (and electoral college votes) due to this counting of illegal aliens.DEMAND FROM YOUR SENATORS THAT SEN. ignoring authority has been the downfall of our city's and now out country. As a young man when a police officer spoke we jumped. If we did not then after the police was done with you came your father. By the way that was growing up in Detroit in the 40's amd 50's.In the sixtys as things worsened and after the riots the police formed a unit called "Stress" They were the toughest and went after the toughest. They did such a good job inside six months that Coleman Young the mayor outlawed them quickly. This is what Sheriff Joe came from and reminds me of. Respect for the law and discipline to those that do not comply. We all know why the politicians do not inforce is the votes they plan to receive. Cnn has a Latino special playing stating how they will be the majority in so many years. Not if we get rid of all the illegals. We need thousands more like Joe, I hope we find them in time.
