We Are The World 2010 Video: Do You Prefer The New Or Old Version?

The 2010 Olympics Opening Ceremony finally aired the new remake of the famous Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie song, “We Are The World” last night. There were a ton of new and young faces that made the cut this time such as Miley Cyrus, Nick Jonas, and Justin Beiber – who even got to sing the opening lines which Lionel Richie sang back in 1985.

There was a definite new vibe to it as Lil Wayne and T-Pain singing in auto-tune, of course, and LL Cool J, Will.I.Am, and Kanye West spit some rhymes toward the end. As shockingly different as it was from the original, all proceeds from the download do go toward Haitian relief and we’re thankful that all these artists came together to do such a great thing. There is more info on how to donate here.

However, we want to know: Which one do you like better? Both versions still have Michael Jackson singing his parts but the 2010 remake definitely took a different turn. Do you prefer the new or old version? Watch both versions below then vote to let us know!

Biden says Cheney is misinformed or misleading

WASHINGTON — Vice President Joe Biden is dismissing his predecessor's criticism of the Obama administration's commitment to fighting terrorism, saying bluntly that Dick Cheney is either misinformed or is misinforming.

In an interview airing Sunday on NBC's "Meet the Press," Biden said he thinks Cheney doesn't listen to the facts and is trying to rewrite history.

Cheney maintains that the Obama administration is failing to treat the battle against terrorism as war.

But Biden says Cheney's criticism rings false.

Under President Barack Obama's direction, Biden says, the U.S. has been more successful at killing off al-Qaida leaders and their followers than it was during the years George W. Bush and Cheney sat in the White House.

Speed Skater Ohno Ties Olympic Record With Silver In 1,500 Meter Short Track

Apolo Anton Ohno won silver in the 1,500 meter short track behind South Korea's Lee Jung-Su to tie Bonnie Blair for the most Winter Olympic medals won by an American with six.

Lee clocked 2:17.611sec, Ohno clocked 2:976 sec, and another American, J.R. Celski, finished third at 2:18.053.

The South Koreans may have swept the podium if not for a late crash between Sung Si-Bak and Lee Ho-Suk at the final turn.

The medal gave Ohno two of each color and was his first Olympic medal since he took home a gold and two bronze medals in 2006 in Turin.

The 19-year-old Celski won the bronze in his first major event since a ghastly crash at the U.S. trials.

Tiger Woods Buys Wife Elin $2 Million Luxury Boat

When you've cheated on your wife numerous times, got caught text messaging one of your mistresses, and have been humiliated in front of the entire world as your wife took a golf club to your head, what do you do?

Simply buy her a $2 million sailboat as a peace offering, that's what.

Once a role model to millions of golf fans around the world, Tiger Woods, who has been in hiding since the news broke out of his numerous infidelities, is trying to make things work again with his estranged wife, former Swedish model Elin Nordegren.

Reports indicate Tiger has shelled out a pretty sum for a sailboat named Solitude as part of his "I'm so sorry" campaign to his wife.

According to gossip blogger Perez Hilton, when times were good, the couple used to dive together "when they were out for relaxation," so buying Elin a boat "could represent a new beginning for Tiger and Elin."

A source close to the couple added, "Romantic sea air can do wonders for a troubled marriage."

Although the boat's builder is keeping mum as to who Solitude belongs to, it is currently docked at the Pirate's Cove Resort & Marina less than 10 minutes from Tiger's Jupiter Island estate in Florida.

Nash, Pierce, Robinson Winners At Quiet NBA All Star Saturday

Stars like Julius Erving and Michael Jordan popularized NBA All-Star festivities through their participation in dunk contests.

With Lebron James sidelined Saturday, the NBA faithful had to settle for the next best thing: Nate Robinson.

Robinson ignited a rare roar from a mostly quiet crowd to pass Jordan, Dominique Wilkins and Jason Richardson as the only three-time NBA All Star Slam Dunk Champion.

The uncanny leaping ability of the 5-foot-9 guard brought home wins in last year's contest and in 2006.

Robinson stole the show with a breathtaking reverse slam off the backboard where he brought the ball back down to his knees in mid-air before jamming it home.

That final dunk secured him 51 percent of the fan vote.

The dunk highlighted what seemed to be a comparatively dull contest, evidenced by the lack of reaction from the crowd.

"Something has to be done about the Slam Dunk Contest," said TNT analyst Charles Barkley on the telecast following the contest.

Robinson appeared in the final with Portland's DeMar DeRozan, winner of the first ever dunk-in Friday that determined the final contestant.

Charlotte's Gerald Wallace and the Lakers' Shannon Brown were eliminated in the first round of this year's contest, which featured a lesser amount of dunks than previous years.

Earlier in the night, Paul Pierce took home his first Three Point Shootout crown with 20 points in the final round, edging Golden State's Stephen Curry (17) and Denver's Chauncey Billups (14).

Defending champion Daequan Cook was eliminated in the first round along with New York's Danilo Gallinari and Phoenix's Channing Frye.

Steve Nash won the Skills Contest with a time of 29.9 seconds in the final round over Dallas native and 2008 champion Deron Williams.

Milwaukee rookie Brandon Jennings and Oklahoma City's Russell Westbrook were eliminated earlier.

Look forwild ride in the 500

Race Day

THREE THINGS TO WATCH

Faster speeds. Fewer NASCAR rules edicts and more driver "self-policing." Plus, there are multiple opportunities for green-white-checkered finishes. The ingredients are there for a wild 500 and there appeared to be signs of that in Thursday's Duels.

Kevin Harvick won the Budweiser Shootout and finished second in his qualifying race. His last Sprint Cup win came in the 2007 Daytona 500.

There's an excellent chance he could end his winless streak with a second 500 victory.

If you're looking for Danica Patrick, you're late by one day. She raced in Saturday's Nationwide race. But don't be surprised to hear her name mentioned once or 10 times.

OBSERVATIONS

There is no doubt Danica Patrick has brought a lot of attention to NASCAR. And drivers have said she brings some much-needed new eyes on the sport. However, the big question is if all the new attention is simply on Patrick, what happens when she disappears for months to run her IndyCar Series?

If the only reason the sport gets a bump turns out to be her presence in it, that really isn't a long-term fix for what's ailing NASCAR (at least until she moves full time to the sport at some point).

Wish there was some way for NASCAR to give the Thursday qualifying races a little more meaning.

With 35 cars locked in the 500 field on owner points and four more by speeds, only four drivers' fates are really determined by performances in those races. And typically they are not among the sport's biggest names.

Auto Club Speedway of California has been hammered unmercifully in recent years for poor attendance during its early February race weekend.

Will Danica-mania help fix that, at least for next Saturday's Nationwide event?
