Shanghai ‘Black Girl’ Lou Jing Abused By Racist Netizens

From NetEase:

Shanghai “Black girl” Lou Jing becomes famous on the internet
Lou Jing [shown with mother above], who participated in DragonTV’s “Jia you! Oriental Angels“, recently became exceptionally popular on the internet, having been cursed to fame by netizens! Lou Jing was viciously abused owning to her life experience. Many netizens learned that Lou Jing was born after her married mother had [extra-marital] relations with a black man, and let loose a torrent of abuse on the internet. August 30, Lou Jing issued on the internet a stern but fair protest against netizens’ racism, that the color of her skin should not become a target of attack. At the same time, she also said she reserved the right to take legal action.

From KDS:

Shanghai’s most green [cuckolded] man, whose wife gives birth to a black man’s child~~
Lou Jing’s mother had a husband, then had an extramarital affair with a black man, then gave birth to Lou Jing, and then after her birth divorced.
And that black devil, after f%^king ran back to his home in Africa.
It is unimaginable how that Shanghainese man [husband], excited and anxious to see his own “daughter”, must have felt when he saw that she was black…

A response by Lou Jing on KDS:

I am DragonTV Angel Lou Jing, and here I make a statement!
My father is American, not African.
I am a born and bred Shanghainese person.
I should not have to bear my parents’ mistake, I am innocent!
Sternly but strongly protest some people’s racism, my skin color should not become a target of attack!
I reserve the right to take legal action!

Unfortunately, the baby daddy only reinforces stereotypes of Black men as irresponsible louts by knocking up a married wife - and then leaving her (and her bastard daughter) to clean up the mess.

Why do these "men" totally not care about BC or any offspring they sire??? This is the real shame underlying this story. Any shame that Lou Jing feels can only pale in comparison to the shame she feels inside from being TOTALLY unwanted, uncared for and unloved by her Black daddy.

Well, if you don't love & respect your own daughter, why should you expect anyone else to? 70% of Black babies are now born to single baby mamas in the US. Maybe Americans should be shaming these baby daddies here too?

It's only unfortunate that Lou Jing has to take the shame that her daddy & cheating mom deserve.

Hopefully this reaches the Chinese people in China, and especially the men. Are those making complaints about black being irresponsible as fathers, also saying the same about white American men who have for years had kids by black women whom they disowned and never cared for? Now what these "lackies," who are afraid to say anything negative about white men, refuse to make any complaints. Also, it seems that the "tiny genital" men of China are envious of black men, just as white American men are.

It is interesting that some people, like the first individual who commented on here, like to play judge, jury, and executioner. To speak in third person of Black men as "irresponsible louts by knocking up a married wife" is deeply troubling. This problematic thinking is only reinforced by the next comment, "Why do THESE MEN totally not care about BC or any offspring they sire???"

Stereotypes, prejudice, and racism persist because too many people hold negative views about a group, identify individuals with qualities believed to be possessed by all group members, then use that information to reaffirm their thinking. Many Black men DO care for their children. It is that society, the media, and individuals do not want to focus on these men. Instead the focus is on the "negative characteristics" believed to be possessed by black men in general.

Yes, there is a problem with dead beat fathers in the black community. No one is disputing that. But this is a problem that is not isolated to one racial group, nor is it isolated in one society. This is a systematic problem.

If you really want to make a difference, then go out and serve as a big brother or big sister to a child living in a fatherless household. Shaming the dead beat fathers, while understandable, will not solve this problem. You must help children to understand over time that is morally wrong and socially unacceptable/irresponsible to not care for and love your children. To teach our young men and women to respect themselves, the opposite gender, and their families. Children need to have positive role models in their lives and be shown that even if their fathers did not "man up", that their social environment does not have to be repeated.

Finally, let us not be so quick to judge the mother in this case. No one is condoning what she did during her marriage (if true). However, she obviously loves her daughter. If the young girl in this story was born to an interracial couple who was married, then she would likely receive the same treatment in China.

The bigger issue in this story is why there is so much racism and hate multiracial persons, particularly those with African American backgrounds, in China and the rest of the world. Again, the perpetuation of stereotypes by the media, society, and individuals play a major role. It obviously doesn't help if some individuals in a stigmatized group behave in a manner that reinforces stereotypes. However, it more damaging when people hold inaccurate views about an entire group of people based on racist ideologies or negative information about certain individuals within a group.
