"Avengers" Stars Hit Comic-Con, Ruffalo Named New Hulk

Confirmingrumors that he's turning superhero, it was announced at Comic-Con 2010that Mark Ruffalo is taking over Edward Norton's role of IncredibleHulk in "The Avengers" movie.

The "Shutter Island" star was all smiles as he took the stage at theSan Diego Convention Center on Saturday (July 24) alongside co-starsScarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth,Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson and Clark Gregg.


With director JossWhedon also on-hand, the impressive cast was called out by Marvel chiefKevin Feige as they happily posed for pictures - with Robert Downey Jrsoaking up the attention by lining up front and center while gettingdown on one knee.

The film, due in theaters in May 2012, will mix the stories of Hulk,Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Black Widow and others - which hasbeen a dream for Comic-Conners for some time now.
