Egyptian New Year Begins with a Bombing of Christian Church

At least 21 people have died in the Egyptian city of Alexandria when a bomb blew up outside a church.
The targets were Coptic Christians who were participating in a New Year's Eve prayer service.

Egyptian police are sifting through evidence at the scene, attempting to determine who is responsible for the explosion. Officials have suspected foreign elements such as Al Queda.

After the bombing, Copts marked with fury to to a nearby mosque, where they clashed with police.
Al Jazeera visited the scene, speaking with victims who were admitted to a nearby hospital.
