A fantastic story involving Eagles quarterback Michael Vick being given a key to the city of Dallas only to have the mayor later note that it wasn't all official-like once it caused some backlash.
The ceremonial honor, which has sparked some local controversy, was performed at a Super Bowl event in Dallas on Saturday -- the same day the quarterback was named NFL Comeback Player of the Year.
Mayor Tom Leppert released a statement Monday saying that when Caraway gave Vick a key to the city, the action was "done without [Leppert's] knowledge or approval."Ahh, Dallas politicians handling things about as well as Tony Romo handling an extra point attempt. Imagine if Mayor Nutter gave Romo the keys to the city of Philadelphia. I'm pretty sure there'd be riots.
