TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - Two adults and three juveniles have been arrested in the gang rape of a 7-year-old girl sold by her stepsister, police said. One of the adults was identified as Gregory Joseph Leary.
Details on the arrests were to be announced at a Saturday night news conference at police headquarters in the state’s capital city.
Authorities say the girl was offered for sale by her 15-year-old stepsister on March 28. They say the teen went to a party with some men on the 13th floor of the Rowan Towers apartment building and the younger girl tagged along because she worried about her stepsister’s safety.
Police say the 15-year-old sold sex to men, then took money to let them touch the younger girl. They say touching turned to forcible sex as at least seven men raped the 7-year-old.
The 15-year-old has been charged with promoting prostitution, aggravated sexual assault and other crimes; police have not released her name.
A 20-year-old man had previously been charged with having sex with the 15-year-old, but police don’t know who might have attacked the 7-year-old. They say, though, that someone in Rowan Tower does and are urging, even threatening, neighbors to identify them.
Rowan Tower has a bad reputation. Gangs walk the streets nearby, and police are a constant, and some say ineffective, presence at the 15-story apartment building a stone’s throw from the Statehouse’s golden dome.
A 13-year-old girl was killed last year in a drive-by shooting a block away, and no one stepped forward to help police identify the attackers.
Rowan Tower sits on a stretch of West State Street near downtown Trenton and is surrounded by blocks of abandoned, boarded-up homes. It’s fronted by a well-manicured lawn and features a colorful playground and a basketball court. An American flag hangs from a pole to the right of the front door.

Lindsay Lohan, Already Having A Terrible Week, Is Also Apparently Broke
It's probably a good thing that Lindsay Lohan is having trouble getting into nightclubs these days, because as it turns out she probably wouldn't be able to afford to drink in them anyway. TMZ reports that the troubled part-time actress is having trouble standing on her own two feet in more ways than one, and recently found herself facing eviction for owing back rent. Like, $23,000 worth of back rent.
Sick of getting stiffed, Lohan's landlord recently sent the former Mean Girls star a legal notice, ordering her to pay up or get out. Somehow, facing homelessness, Lohan managed to come up with the cash, though we're not sure how, since she's lately been in the habit of blowing off the few paying gigs that have been offered to her.
Maybe Congress should come up with a stimulus plan targeted at party-hearty actresses who can't seem to get their act together.

Erin Andrews Receives Death Threats
TMZ has learned Erin Andrews has been the target of several recent death threats, and the FBI is now on the case.
Our sources say three emails were sent to "The Dan Patrick Show" -- a sports talk show which airs on both radio and TV.
Sources tell us the emails -- sent on March 26, 29 and 30 from a man in Newport News, VA. -- are direct threats against Andrews. One reads, "Somebody should shoot her in the face."
A second email says, "I'm one in a million. She'll never see me coming."
TMZ has learned the FBI is now on the case. As for ESPN's Andrews, there is increased security on the set of "Dancing with the Stars."
Andrews was famously victimized by Michael David Barrett, who taped her through a peephole in several hotel rooms. He's been sentenced to 30 months in federal prison.

First biracial president? Nope! First black president? Yes!
Though MyTwoCensus would have classified President Obama as biracial, he views himself as “black” and his kids as “black” too. The following confirmation to our inquiries was first reported by the New York Times:
It is official: Barack Obama is the nation’s first black president.
A White House spokesman confirmed that Mr. Obama, the son of a black father from Kenya and a white mother from Kansas, checked African-American on the 2010 census questionnaire.
The president, who was born in Hawaii and raised there and in Indonesia, had more than a dozen options in responding to Question 9, about race. He chose “Black, African Am., or Negro.” (The anachronistic “Negro” was retained on the 2010 form because the Census Bureau believes that some older blacks still refer to themselves that way.)
Mr. Obama could have checked white, checked both black and white, or checked the last category on the form, “some other race,” which he would then have been asked to identify in writing.
There is no category specifically for mixed race or biracial.
Instructions for the census’s American Community Survey, which poses the question in the same way as the 2010 form, say that “people may choose to provide two or more races either by marking two or more race response boxes, by providing multiple write-in responses, or by some combination of marking boxes and writing in responses.”
In the 2000 census, when Americans first were allowed to check more than one box for race, about 6.8 million people reported being of two or more races.
