A group of white students, who some believe are from Stuyvesant High School in New York, have gotten the Internet up in arms.

Laying out admittedly solid freestyle skills over a smooth beat, the students continuously spew out the kind of racism that would make David Duke blush. To the surprise of some, Stuyvesant High School is considered one of the top high schools in the nation, but many are wondering what in the world they are teaching.

Lil Wayne Embarrassed by 10-Year-Old Girl in New Song: An Open Letter on Hip-Hop Greed

The rapper Lil Wayne may be ready to take on all haters in the club (since he regularly reminds us that he stays strapped). He may be ready to have sex with every girl in the world (the title of one of his songs), and he might have more money than King Tut. But there is one attack that Lil Wayne was probably not ready for, and that came from a 10-year-old girl.

While I am still searching to find the little girl's name (her management team didn't put her name on the video), in a song called 'Watoto From The Nile - Letter to Lil Wayne,' this child lays out a song that even Weezy himself will have to acknowledge at some point. Referring to herself as a "little queen," she questions why Lil Wayne has decided to make a career out of degrading black women and chasing corporate greed over creating music that is socially responsible and capable of uplifting a community that is dying by the second.

Rajat Gupta, the business titan charged today with insider-trading by the SEC, was at the center of Wall Street—and the crimes he has been accused of committing allegedly occurred at the very heart of Wall Street as well.

Gupta was a managing director at McKinsey, arguably the most famous and prestigious consulting firm in the world. He later became an independent director at Goldman Sachs —arguably the most famous and prestigious investment bank in the world—in which role he is said to have engaged in massive insider trading regarding a huge cash infusion from Warren Buffet, who is arguably the world’s most famous investor.
The alleged crime is astonishingly brazen, as my colleague John Carney reports:

“The SEC says Gupta tipped Rajaratnam about Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway’s $5 billion investment in Goldman and Goldman’s upcoming public equity offering before that information was publicly announced on Sept. 23, 2008. Gupta allegedly called Rajaratnam immediately after the board conference call, just a few minutes before the market closed. Rajaratnam must have been prepared to move, because within one minute he had arranged for Galleon funds to purchase more than 175,000 share of Goldman, according to the SEC. Rajaratnam even had time to spread the tip to another trader, who also bought shares of Goldman. The news became public at 6 p.m. that day. The next day, Rajaratnam sold the shares for a $900,000 profit.”

Euro rates ‘could rise’ in April

 

The European Central Bank has kept interest rates in the eurozone unchanged at a record low 1%

The president of the European Central Bank has said that a rise in eurozone interest rates was “possible” at its next policy meeting in April. 

Jean-Claude Trichet said the ECB was “in a posture of strong vigilance” against rising inflation.
He said the rate-setting committee may have to act in the light of recent “price shocks” due to the sharp rises in commodity prices.

On Thursday the ECB decided to keep rates at 1% at this month’s meeting.
Speaking at a press conference, Mr Trichet stressed that no decisions had yet been made.
“We are never precommitted. The decision will be taken at the next meeting by the governing council,” he said.

But analysts said it was a clear signal that a rate rise next month was likely.

Chavez Will Mediate Between Gaddafi And Rebels

The perfect choice for a mediator--after all who better to understand the mind of a crazed dictator than Hugo Chavez?

Muammar Gadaffi has accepted an offer from Venezuela to mediate in Libya’s political crisis after talks with Hugo Chavez, the Venezuelan president.


Sources in Caracas told Al Jazeera that Nicolas Maduro, Venezuelan’s foreign minister, discussed the offer with Amr Moussa, the head of the Arab League Amr Moussa and that details of the plan could be announced at an Arab League meeting in Cairo on Thursday.

The plan would involve a commission from Latin America, Europe and the Middle East trying to reach a negotiated outcome between the Libyan leader and opposition forces which have seized control of large areas of the North African oil-producing country.

..."We want a peaceful solution ... We support peace in the Arab world and in the whole world."

Peaceful solution? I suppose they could start by having Gaddafi stop killing protesting Libyans.

Sheila Jackson-Lee: Queen of Nastiness

Constituents appalled by the rudeness leftist Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee shows them needn't take it personally. She's just as bad to her staff:

The Houston Democrat addressed one of her employees as "you stupid motherf***er." And not just once, but "constantly," recalls the staffer, "like, all the time."

Another Jackson Lee aide recounts the time her parents came to Washington to visit: "They were really excited to come to the congressional office. They're small town people, so for them it was a huge deal. They were actually sitting in the main lobby waiting area. … [Jackson Lee] came out screaming at me over a scheduling change. Called me a 'stupid idiot. Don't be a moron, you foolish girl' and actually did this in front of my parents, of all things."

Yet another staffer remembers requesting a meeting early on in her tenure to ask how best to serve the congresswoman. Jackson Lee's response: "What? What did you say to me? Who are you, the Congresswoman? You haven't been elected. You don't set up meetings with me! I tell you! You know what? You are the most unprofessional person I have ever met in my life." With that, Jackson Lee hung up the phone. …

For some, a job in Jackson Lee's office proved not just emotionally but physically perilous. One staffer recalls a frank conversation with his doctor, who told him he needed to quit. "It's your life or your job," the doctor told him, warning that the stress and long hours were wreaking havoc on his body.

Only a few on staff fought back. One of Jackson Lee's drivers became so frustrated with her abuse the person pulled the car over and demand she stop: "She's screaming and swearing. 'M.F.' everything. Finally I slammed on the brakes and told her to get the hell out of my car. I'm like 'I can't drive with you like this. Either get out, or you can calm down.' And she's like 'you need to go or get fired.' I'm like, 'that's fine. But I'm either leaving without you or you can calm down,'" the staffer said.

Jackson Lee then threatened to call the police and claim she was being held hostage in the car. But she finally did calm down when the staffer called her bluff, offering to flag down a Capitol Police officer to explain the situation.

The lesson her driver has for us is clear: We the People are still in charge if we don't let arrogant bureaucrats push us.

MTSU Basketball Player Clantina ‘Tina’ Stewart Fatally Stabbed

MTSU Blue Raiders women’s basketball player Clantina ‘Tina’ Stewart was fatally stabbed earlier tonight in her Murfreesboro, Tennessee apartment.
The killing took place around 7:00 pm at a local apartment complex near the MTSU campus according to News Channel 5.

Police received an anonymous 911 call from Raiders Crossing Apartment on Hazelwood Street just before 7:00 p.m. Wednesday. Police said that two females assaulted Stewart. Stewart was taken to Middle Tennessee Medical Center with multiple trauma wounds, where she died from her injuries.

One suspect was arrested and taken in for questioning along with an eye witness. A second suspect escaped the scene of the crime as police officers were arriving.

UPDATE: Murfreesboro police arrested Stewart’s freshman roommate Shanterrica Madden who has been charged with 1st degree murder according to the Daily News Journal.

“There was an argument,” Murfreesboro Police Spokesman Kyle Evans said. “During that argument, Madden stabbed the victim.”

Madden describes herself on her Twitter page as: “I am a freshman at MTSU. I am a sweetheart to be around and I love my family and friends.”

Middle Tennessee State University is located in Murfreesoboro, TN and boasts an enrollment of well over 22,000 students.

A very sad day for all Blue Raiders and for the Murfreesboro community.  My personal thoughts and prayers go out to Tina’s family and friends for their loss.

Fox News Suspends Gingrich And Santorum Over 2012 Presidential Plans

Fox News has suspended the contracts of paid commentators Newt Gingrich and Rick "Frothy Mix" Santorum over the pair's plans to run for the GOP 2012 presidential nomination.

Dianne Brandi, the network's executive vice president of legal and business affairs, said in an interview that the channel made the move because Gingrich aides told Fox News executives that the former House speaker is stepping up his exploration of a presidential bid. While Gingrich is not expected to announce that he is forming a federal exploratory committee this week, he is expected to say in Georgia on Thursday that he is meeting with advisors to explore seeking the 2012 Republican presidential nomination, a Gingrich aide said. Santorum, a former senator from Pennsylvania, has indicated that he plans to participate in Republican primary debates, Brandi said, "so that leads us to believe he is seriously considering running." Brandi said the network acted out of journalistic principle. "We can't have Speaker Gingrich on our payroll while he is in the midst of an exploratory committee to see if he's going to run for office," she said. "It's a clear conflict."

Fox said they'll deal with Sarah Palin and Mike Huckabee if and when either of them forms an exploratory committee for 2012.

Obama Claims Tea Party Racially Motivated

President Obama claimed that the Tea Party is racially motivated, that there is a “subterranean movement” of those who oppose him. It couldn’t have anything to do with his massive spending, socializing healthcare, taking over American businesses or spreading the wealth around in general. No, it’s all about the color of his skin. Hey, I guess it’s easier to believe that than to believe one has utterly failed as a leader.

But Obama, in his most candid moments, acknowledged that race was still a problem. In May 2010, he told guests at a private White House dinner that race was probably a key component in the rising opposition to his presidency from conservatives, especially right-wing activists in the anti-incumbent “Tea Party” movement that was then surging across the country. Many middle-class and working-class whites felt aggrieved and resentful that the federal government was helping other groups, including bankers, automakers, irresponsible people who had defaulted on their mortgages, and the poor, but wasn’t helping them nearly enough, he said.

A guest suggested that when Tea Party activists said they wanted to “take back” their country, their real motivation was to stir up anger and anxiety at having a black president, and Obama didn’t dispute the idea. He agreed that there was a “subterranean agenda” in the anti-Obama movement — a racially biased one — that was unfortunate. But he sadly conceded that there was little he could do about it.

Of course he can’t do anything about it, because it’s made up!
Just for the record, the Tea Party is made up of Americans of every skin color.

Pfc. Bradley Manning Faces Up To 22 New Charges One Of Which Being 'Aiding The Enemy'

The most serious of those charges Pfc. Bradley Manning, the former intelligence analyst for the military, now faces is "aiding the enemy", which has the potential for a death penalty sentence although prosecutors are not asking for that.

904. ART. 104. AIDING THE ENEMY
Any person who--

(1) aids, or attempts to aid, the enemy with arms, ammunition, supplies, money, or other things; or

(2) without proper authority, knowingly harbors or [protects or gives intelligence to or communicates or corresponds with or holds any intercourse with the enemy, either directly or indirectly;

shall suffer death or such other punishment as a court-martial or military commission may direct.

Army Adds 22 Charges Against Intelligence Analyst

FORT LESLEY J. MCNAIR, D.C., March 2, 2011 – After seven months of additional investigation by the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command and other investigative agencies, the Army has added 22 charges in the case of a military intelligence analyst accused of leaking classified material.

The new charges against Pvt. 1st Class Bradley E. Manning allege that he introduced unauthorized software onto government computers to extract classified information, unlawfully downloaded it, improperly stored it, and transmitted the classified data for public release and use by the enemy.

The investigation remains ongoing, officials said.

"The new charges more accurately reflect the broad scope of the crimes that Private 1st Class Manning is accused of committing," said Capt. John Haberland, a legal spokesman for U.S. Army Military District of Washington. "The new charges will not affect Private 1st Class Manning's right to a speedy trial or his pretrial confinement."

U.S. military officials in Baghdad preferred two charges consisting of 12 specifications against Manning on July 5. Officials said the commander of U.S. Army Headquarters Command Battalion preferred the new charges yesterday.

In addition to a charge of aiding the enemy in violation of Article 104 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, the new charges include 16 specifications under the UCMJ’s Article 134:

-- One specification of wrongfully causing intelligence to be published on the Internet knowing that it is accessible to the enemy;

-- Five specifications of theft of public property or records, in violation of 18 U.S. Code 641;

-- Eight specifications of transmitting defense information in violation of 18 U.S.C. 793(e);

-- Two specifications of fraud and related activity in connection with computers in violation of 18 U.S.C. 1030(a)(1); and

-- Five specifications in violation of Article 92 of the UCMJ for violating Army Regulations 25-2, "Information Assurance," and 380-5, "Department of the Army Information Security Program."

The charge of aiding the enemy under Article 104 is a capital offense, officials said. However, they added, the prosecution team has notified the defense that the prosecution will not recommend the death penalty to the convening authority, Maj. Gen. Karl R. Horst, commanding general of the U.S. Army Military District of Washington.

Under the UCMJ, the convening authority ultimately decides what charges to refer to court-martial, and whether to seek the death penalty if Article 104 is referred. Therefore, if convicted of all charges, Manning would face a maximum punishment of reduction to the lowest enlisted pay grade,; total forfeiture of all pay and allowances, confinement for life, and a dishonorable discharge.

At the request of Manning's defense attorneys, the trial proceedings have been delayed since July 12, pending the results of a defense-requested inquiry into Manning's mental capacity and responsibility, pursuant to Rule for Courts-Martial 706. Depending on the results of the inquiry, an Article 32 hearing may follow, officials said. An Article 32 hearing is the civilian equivalent of a grand jury, with additional rights afforded to the accused, they explained.

Manning remains confined in the Marine Corps Base Quantico brig in Quantico, Va. He was notified of the additional charges in person during a command visit today, officials said.

Officials emphasized that Manning is presumed innocent until proven guilty, and added that the Army is committed to ensuring his continued safety and well-being while in pretrial confinement.

Manning is accused of downloading and distributing 250,000 secret diplomatic cables between March 28 and May 4, 2010, which was then published by Wikileaks.

Manning was arrested after Adrian Lamo, an American computer hacker, reported to the FBI that Manning had communicated online to him in May 2010 that he had downloaded material from SIPRNet and passed it to WikiLeaks, which had begun publishing it in February 2010.
