LOS ANGELES  – A San Jose University shooting inside its parking structure left three people dead Tuesday. The San Jose University shooting did not prompt any lockdown Tuesday evening. Police have yet to identify the victims but did confirm that they were current university students.

SJSU spokesperson Pat Harris told news Tuesday that the shooting was targeted. Harris would not indicate if there was one shooter or multiple, if there were any leads, and if the investigation needed the public’s assistance. San Jose State police agreed with Harris’ initial determination, ruling that the shooting was in fact targeted.

By evening, students had flocked to the scene of the murder investigation. The location was the fifth floor of the university’s primary six-story garage structure which also includes the school’s student services center. Police would not confirm if the shooting was related to the Saturday shooting that resulted in two fatalities and one injury.

SJSU official tell news that students should not be concerned for their safety. But SJSU has yet to detail the extent of their investigation, nor explain how they were so certain that the shooting was a targeted hit against three enrolled students.

The shooting happened shortly after 8:30 pm. Police confirm that they are not actively looking for an suspects but have yet to indicate if any arrest has been made.
